Get Linux to look like Vista
Well not really..LOL
i just found a screen shot where linux looks a little like vista...
well that means something... even linux users want to have Vistaish look on their pc....LOL
now many will really flame me....:p

You can certainly get Linux to look like Vista. There are a lot of theme options to do this. You don't even really need Beryl for it.

Yeah, for the Vista Basic look, you don't need Beryl. Beryl gives you the transparencies. When KDE 4 ships, you prolly wont need Beryl to get a Vista Clone UI.
And why would we want to flame you? GNU/Linux is all about choice. If someone chooses to have their desktop look Vista-ish, good on them.

Agreed. It's not the look of Vista that most people don't like... it's the actual OS. I've toyed around with making Ubuntu look like Vista in the past.
I don't think that you will find the flaming here that you would normally find if you spoke of Vista elsewhere.

Well, one of the things we like to go on about it choice, and we'd be hypocrites if we bashed people about their choices, especially if they were using Linux.
Now, we can try and convince people that our way of thinking is better, but in the end, the choice lies with the individual.

i love linux too a lot... though i prefer windows as my main OS coz i think it's better in many ways... i'm just amazed of so many people bashing vista not only on this place but more so in linux forums..
you can't really compare linux and vista, IMO... coz vista is way ahead of linux..
the only good things i think about linux are:
1. it's free
2. requires a lot lower hardware requirements than vista
3. security (well this is only because very few people are interested in creating viruses for linux and exploring its security flaws... the same can be said of Mac)

No, you're stating ill-conceived opinion. Vista is a lot more secure than XP (at least it appears to be so far), but it still has a long way to go before it's at the level of UNIX. Only with Vista did they finally add UAC, which is annoying and most people will turn it off. That's not to mention the easily corruptible registry.
And I won't even mention DRM in this post...
