Is there a program that lets me capture video of me doing things on the computer?

Question:
Is there a program that lets me capture video of me doing things on the computer?
To be more clear, I'm looking for a program that lets me capture a video of me just doing everyday things on my computer. So for example, lets say i start the video capture and then open and watch a movie, it will capture a video of me opening the folder with the movie, opening the movie, and then the movie itself while I watch.
Anyone know of any programs that will do this?

Macromedia (now Adobe) Breeze. It's a very expensive program, and requires subscription to Macromedia-Adobe. I haven't seen people get single licenses of it - its usually a business or education institution that uses it.
There may be other programs that do the same for much less $$$.

I just tried Windows Media Encoder but I guess it doesn't work for what I need. I actually want have a few videos that are protected and licensed with my old computer so that only my old computer can run it. But I just bought a brand new notebook so I want to find some way to transfer it to my new computer so I will still be able to watch them.
With Windows Media Encoder, it just gives me a black screen where the video is supposed to be.
