Getting Vista Soon. What to Download?
Well I am getting Windows Vista soon, what are some must have free programs?
Does Real and Quicktime Alternative still work with/updated for Windows Vista?
What about NOD32?

There is at least one thread on this subject, and a sticky on it as well. You shouldn't have any problem finding good, free software for Vista.

Isn't that free Windows software for XP? No way to tell what works for Vista, what doesn't.

There should be a sticky with free software for Vista. So people know what works for what OS.
If anything you can delete this thread if you like and start up a sticky.

I don't know if it's a must-have, but I've found TweakVI very useful. It's basically TweakUI for Vista.

What about NOD32? NOD32 aint free. It does have a 30 day full trial though. That said it is well worth paying for. Defeats the purpose to get an anti-virus program from dodgy sources - your crack might have a trojan in it to begin with.
ImgBurn is a great freeware for making ISOs and burning CD's and DVD's, which has been updated to be Vista-compatible.
