Very interesting. My only wonder is does it have hardware access to the GPU. I'd guess not, but I can always hope.

Re: Cool Linux News.
I'm gonna say no on GPU utilization. Qemu has been around for a while, and you can even use it on Edgy if you want. The really cool new stuff is the kernel-level virtualization (KVM) that's in kernel 2.6.20

Not sure, I've asked on the thread already because I know it mentions you can do it with just about any VM. That being the case, I know that VMware has hardware accelerated video and works pretty well for DX8 if you enable a hidden option. There are a number of google / youtube video's for VMware Fusion and VMware 3D where people are playing hardware accelerated games.
I also know if you read about some of the other more linux-centric virtualized technologies they are hardware level accessable, and I think I saw something in one of those links about using real drivers in the guest O/S which might atleast mean they are VERY close? unfortunatly I bought like the only Core2Duo without VT support, so I don't have ALL the cool stuff..
I'll be buying a system like the Sager NP9260 in June as a mega b-day to me gift so it won't really matter anymore what I want to do (Will push off purchase if NV8800 not available yet)
Would definitely open my ability to move over to Linux full-time since I wouldn't "feel" like I still had windows running. :D

Qemu could be interesting...and perhaps a step in the direction of brining PC games to Linux in a big way???

Re: Cool Linux News.
Not Qemu, it's just standard VT, this new KVM is where it's at.

I installed QEMU Successfully, Then Installed Windows XP Pro Successfully,
BUT, some license error kept me from logging in.
