Question:
After format and reinstall windows wont load
Hi there!
Please help me, cause im starting to panic!
Decided to clean up my computer today and start fresh! So i deleted my partitions(had 2 of them), created a new one(just one), formated the whole system, and started to install a fresh copy of Windows XP pro. However, after it completes the copy process of files than the machines restarts and when loading the microsoft logo (with running blue squares) for the first time it just hangs! thats it nothing else, frozen as my fridge!
What is also weird is when i start the computer right after the ASUS logo, it performs the following:
Scanning for IDE drives..............
No drive attached to the fast track controller found, the BIOS can not be loaded. (Not sure if this is anyhow related).
So I tried to format the machine again (this time using normal format, not quick) and install windows. It freezes at the same very moment.
This morning it was 100% functioning, some minors lags mostly necause of spyware and lost of other useless soft but no serious threats.
The machine I use is ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe
512 DDR2 RAM
Ati 9200
realtek AC97

Try this......
1.. Delete partitions again
2.. Create new NTFS partition .... preferablly using Gparted
3.. Don't format anything
4.. Install Windows XP pro and let it format the partition for you.
