Doom 3 1.3.1 Vista patch
I posted this in another post but no one is apparantly aware, but Doom 3 now works in Vista.
Only a couple mods work, unless they have been updated they don't.

Well Doom 3 WAS a good game, but now there are better ones out there. I have beatten Doom 3 a number of times, and there is no one playing online. So it is a game that has died out. But yes, that is wonderful, but i do not plan on upgrading to vista for a WHILE!!!!

I have a laptop aswell and im trying to run Doom3.
My laptop contains:
2Ghz Dualcore 64bits
2024mb DDRII
ATIX1700 Mobility
OS: Windows Vista Business 32bits.
Im having trouble running Doom3, I suspect it got some problems with the Vista OpenGL issue, and I have updated Doom3 and my drivers but it doesn't work. It looks like you got the hang of this, got any suggestions?

Look at your video settings, crank them down untill you get a playable framerate, then instead of using the preset graphics, control them yourself, making textures/players/whatever what you want it to be. That is my only suggestion

If you updated Doom to this patch, and your card, it's hopeless. Wait for a new patch or something from ati to come out.
Right now their opengl is for stability, not performance.

I thought it already worked in Vista? I installed Doom 3 and it worked perfectly. Although I didn't play it much before updating to the latest version, which i believe is 1.3
It worked from a fresh install from the disc (version 1.1 i believe)
I never knew it was incompatible.....
