Laptop bluetooth adaper gps

Question:
Laptop bluetooth adaper gps
I have a laptop and want to conect a gps unit to it. I was looking at the bluetooth gps's. I need an adapter for my laptop, should I go with usb or pcmcia ? Also any other suggestions about what gps is really good with a laptop for traveling. wired or not? Thanks,Gary
Answer: I have used Microsoft Street&Trips which comes with a GPS receiver and costs some $80 only.
You load the street&trips on your laptop which covers whole USA and then attach the small gps receiver to your laptop with the USB.
Open the programme and gps position will be automaticaly activated.
This is much cheaper then a dedicated gps receiver plus you have a large high resolution laptop screen
But it drains laptop battery rapidly so have car adapter.
Normaly when I go on long drive holidays(went from San Francisco to Los Angeles via coastal highway 1), my wife acts as a navigator with the laptop on her lap so I can drive undistracted.
You can go on to the off road smaller-routes and still not get lost as the laptop will show you a much wider scale map then the small 2" screens of the dedicated GPS receivers.
