Beryl Questions

Question:
Beryl Questions
As I mentioned in a previous thread, I've finally gotten Beryl to play nice w/ the Nvidia drivers on my Dell XPS M1210 (GeForce Go 7400 graphics) running Ubuntu Edgy and I'm having a ball playing w/ all the plug-ins & other toys, but have a few minor questions...
1) I can rotate the cube and drag windows to different sides of the cube w/o any problems, but each side of the cube is just a copy of the same desktop/workspace. I.e. on the bottom right of the Edgy desktop, I've got it set for 4 workspaces, but each face of the cube ends up as the same workspace. Any ideas on how to fix this?
2) How do I take a screenshot while rotating the cube if I'm already pressing ctrl+alt+left mouse button?
3) Is it possible to have a different desktop/workspace on all 6 sides of the cube instead of 4 and the Beryl jewel graphic on the top & bottom?
4) I've noticed a lot of the shortcuts in the settings menu refer to a "super" key...what key is this?
Wow...that turned out to be a lot more questions than I thought it'd be, but thanks in advance. Also I'm just getting my feet wet, so if this stuff is already documented, please be gentle w/ me!
Cheers in advance,
HH ;)

Re: Beryl Questions
The "Super" key is usually your third mouse button. A few laptops (such as mine) have 3 mouse buttons, but nearly every standard mouse with scroll wheel allows you to click the scroll wheel like a button, and this is usually the "Super" button. In addition, you can use Ctrl+Alt+"Super" to go into the cube, and then you can let go of all the buttons and just rotate it with the mouse. That will free up a finger to take the screenshot. I would imagine that the "Super" key is customizable and could be mapped to any key on the keyboard/mouse though, but I'm not sure.
And I have no idea about your other two questions, and I don't really get that deep into Beryl.

Next time you're outside of Beryl, make sure Metacity is also running with four workspaces.
3) Is it possible to have a different desktop/workspace on all 6 sides of the cube instead of 4 and the Beryl jewel graphic on the top & bottom? you can't have the top and bottom of the cube be workspaces/viewports, although you can change the image that it displayed.
You can also have up to 12 (I think) sides to your "object"... I know a fair number of people run with 6 or more.

Re: Beryl Questions
3 Attachment(s) Ok, good to go as far as cube screenshots goes, so here's what I've got.
Horizontal Virtual Size = 4
Vertical Virtual Size = 1
Number of Desktops = 4 (set via Metacity, not Beryl)
Yet for some reason it gives me a cube w/ only one face, as shown in the attached pics.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Well, it's showing your panels for 4 desktops, just not any backgrounds or windows. Do you have any windows on the other desktops?

You can also disable drawing the "cap" pieces, so it'll look a little less funky, you won't have those random hanging rectangles with gems in them there. Unless we could figure out how to do a transparent color on that... I wonder if a PNG with a transparency as a cap image would show up correctly? I'll test that this weekend if no one else gets to it first :)
