Home Network
Hey all i just purchased a new ASUS F3JP w/ wireless (vista), and i want to transfer my files from my desktop which is not wireless (XP). I have a Linksys Wireless Router (WRT54G). How do i do this? I am a networking noob ;)

1) Connect old XP machine to WRT54G with LAN cable.
2) Connect new Asus machine to WRT54G either with LAN cable (faster transfer) or wirelessly.
3) Transfer files.

Yeah but you have to set up a home network first. Just connecting two machines to a router doesn't mean their gonna see eachother.
Go to control panel, network connections and click on setup a home or office network. Follow the on screen instructions (do this for both computers), and then you can share stuff as wacky said.

Make sure you've configured your firewall to allow home networks.
