Are there any good free DVD players out there? I have used winDVD in the past because it was part of the PC. I have none now. suggestions would be welcome

I have VLC Media Player and Media Player Classic installed on my computer, but I prefer Media Player Classic because of its smaller size. Today, about an hour ago, I tested both using a Nasa HD video clip called STS-116. VLC Media Player struggled (pausing several times) with this movie while Media Player Classic breezed through it. For now, it's definitely Media Player Classic for me.
