Question:
ipconfig/release every single time
I just changed my internet provider to vzavenue. I am not even sure what it is. I think it is a type of DSL in which the modem is somewhere in the building; the only thing that I know is that it gets to my home through a cat5 socket and I don't need modem s, just plug in the wire.
Now, the problem:
Every single time that I turn the computer on I have to do
run
cmd
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
Is there a way to avoid these steps? Vzavenue tech support seems confused.
Thanks!

You can right-click on Network Places, go to Properties, then right-click on your connection and click "repair" instead of having to do that run sequence.
Try updating your network drivers, as they may be out of date, and not talking correctly to the router that gives you an address, or perhaps being brought up with too short of a timeout.

If you had a ISP service before, you may be using your original settings. Change your connection to a Direct Connect, and NO Proxy server, should correct the problem.

Thanks to all.
I called tech support (again) and they told me it is a problem for many customers. They expect it will take at least 2 weeks to fix.
My alias on this website is Dissatisfied...

They did not follow up. I canceled the account (within the 30 days trial period)
