Question:
Aes?
What does cipher mode mean? TKIP? AES?
Thanks
Answer:
Re: Aes?
TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol)- used in WPA standard, basically still RC4 encryption but without most of the weaknesses of WEP protocol.
AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) used for encryption in WPA2 standard. Far better than RC4, DES and similar.
So WPA=>TKIP and WPA2 on some routers has an option to run with either TKIP or AES-in such a case always choose AES.

Re: Aes?
AES is by far the WAY stronger encryption algorithm and is far safer to use. its industry standard and has been around a LONG time in the intelligence community and is one of the preferred algorithms for data security there too.
