Laptop video card question

Laptop video card question
I am considering buying a Compaq Presario V6000T that I have found at a relatively cheap price.
Here are the specs:
• Genuine Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit)
• Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo T7200(2.00GHz/2MB L2Cache)
• 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
• 2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950 w/Ports
• Imprint Finish + Microphone + QuickPlay
• Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network w/Bluetooth
• 160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
• LightScribe Super Multi 8X DVD+/-RW w/Double Layer
• 12 Cell Lithium Battery
All right the price for this laptop is about $800.
I have a question, will the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950 run the game counterstrike source. If so… at around what fps? And it says w/ports does that mean I can upgrade the video card??

Re: Laptop video card question
It will run it but not very well. If I can remember, my friend bought an HP laptop with an ATI xpress 200m and was getting about 20-30fps @ 800x600 (most settings on low/med).
As for the upgrade question, no you cannot upgrade the video card. It is integrated into the motherboard. The ports probably mean it has DVI/VGA.
Mike.

However the GMA950 is much less powerful than the ATI Xpress 200m. I would not recommend getting the GMA950 if you really want to play Counterstrike Source. If you really want a cheap laptop that can play CS:S, look at the dell e1501.
