Assembling a Notebook? Where to start?
it has been a long time dream for me to assemble a notebook myself and make it as a brand. Where to start?
Any help is much appreciated.

There is no such thing as assembling a notebook from scratch unless you own a factory ;) You can start with barebones which provide you with a casing, motherboard, battery and sometimes lcd. You get the RAM, CPU and wireless and ODD. ASUS does provide such barebones. This is in fact how the retailers do it ;)

As far as I know Compal also offers barebone notebooks but just like BENDER said, it's just about impossible to build a new notebook from scratch.

I wouldn't say impossible. You could go on eBay, buy some casings, get the parts, and put it together. I have no idea why you would do that, but you could.

Jokes aside, the best alternative is to start with barebones as BENDER suggested.
