me and my bro wana go head up 1v1 in halo for PC. my frnds used to link up xbox and play 8 players on 2 TVs. is this what they called Lan in PC?
what is the easiest way to set this up?

for the computer it should be in the multiplayer settings. One of you should host the game, and one connect to it. I'm guessing you already have a wired or wireless router connecting the computer already. That should be it.

how about a LAN setting. in Halo there is a thing called host advantage. host has 0 ping and guess has more ping. we dont want host adv. is LAN hard to set up?

host advantage... that shouldn't be an issue.
if your friend connects directly to your machine over a network then he will have a very fast connection to you. he might have a ping of a few ms - 3 to 5, whereas a normal online ping might be 75ms or more.
you aren't going to have an advantage with 3 ms. trust me. if anything, it might slow down your computer a little bit and bring down your frames per second by 1 or something. that will equalize any advantage you get.
otherwise, you can get a third pc to host you both. then you will both have a 3ms or so connection. it won't change anything except that it will add the need for a third computer.

You should use the more powerful pc as host...
And you should get R6V it's a lot more fun in LAN.
