Dell 1520 vs Acer 5920 Game Performance
Hi there!
Im doubting which of these two laptops would be best for gaming performance supposing they had the same specifications (core 2 Duo, 2ghz, 2gb of RAM 8600GT)
Which of them would you prefer if the price was exactly the same (1199€)?
Remember that the screens are different, and that the acer has Dolby Surround.

Dont you mean debating? Links to specs would help get you a better answer, but based on personal experience, I prefer Dell to Acer in terms of build quality, service and reliability.

The Dell has a 8600M GT which is clocked slightly higher then the Acer I think. So it will be a bit faster. But they are very similar so dont worry about this and get the laptop you like better. Performance is pretty much the same.

The Acer has HDMI output .. the Dell does not (in the UK anyway)

The dell doesn't have a HDMI everywhere....which is very stupid. I think the Dell's 8600GT performs slightly better than the 5920, about 100-200 3dmarks(06) if I remember correctly.
Thats not very much, and shouldn't really be a factor in deciding which laptop to buy.

i'd get the 5920 personally, just because of the better sound & screen.
but you definitely can't go wrong with either, the dell probably has better build quality though but its not like either is just going to fall apart on you.
