Format Hard drive partion
How do I format a partion of an hard drive so I can reinstal windows.
Answer:
Windows 9x : windows 98 boot disk.. "format c:" from a dos prompt.
Windows 2k XP : boot to the os cd and follow the instructions.
Sharp AL27, Athlon 64 2700+ 60Gb hdd, 512Mb mem, 64Mb vid, superbright lcd. DVD +-/RW. Great choice for business use.

no os cd came with my computer, I have only a recovery cd that automaticaly does something.
Answer:
The recovery CD will automatically overwrite (format) your drive and install the OS. The downside is you also re-install all the crap you don't need (AOL, MSWorks, etc.). If you want to erase and scrub your HD, the Ultimate Boot CD has some utilities to do that, but your recovery disk will also render all existing data unusable.

will it erase some data on my other partion?
