Really,the best Anti Virus is abstinence. Stay off the Internet, don't pirate media and programs, generally practice safe hex. I can't abstain, so i use AVG as my condom.

I have Norton as well, and I too am not happy with how demanding it is. I don't feel comfortable using a free one, for reasons already stated. It just doesn't seem like a permanent solution. I'm sure they are good, I haven't used them, but I like to stick with the big guys. The only time I could imagine myself using AVG would be if I just got a new computer or reformatted an old one and didn't have an antivirus suite to use right away.

I'm using Norton Corporate Edition, and it doesn't hog any resources. At times you feel that there is nothing protecting you. But I haven't had any infects in the last 6 years, so I'm happy.

right now i am using symantec antivirus client. i get it free from my school, which is nice. to be honest, i dont think i have ever had a virus on my computer, except for the one i downloaded to see if the antivirus works hehe.
