Question:
Go6150 slower than GMA945??
Is this really the case? Some of the reviews I've been reading, that quote 3D scores, seem to indicate this. I thought GMA's were supposed to be the slowest of the slow??

Where are you seeing this? The only app I'm aware of that favors the GMA950 over the 6150 is Vista's WEI (which is useless).

3DMark scores are also useless for comparing performance of integrated graphics cards, so if you're seeing the difference there just ignore it. The Go6150 is far better than the GMA 950 in real-life gaming.

Here is a review from this site:
Look at the tables showing the graphics scores, you'll see one where the 6150 is scoring around 491, and the GMA is around 519....

Two possibilities could be ram differences in the compared units and driver versions at the time of testing. I raised my 3DMark06 score by over 50 points by just changing drivers............

also should point out that not all the scores you see on 3dmark are done with the same resolution, some use higher some lower so the scores will differ even between the same graphics cards. thats why I suggested they should mention the resolution next time or make it a requirement to run at a specific common resolution to better compare cards.

Agreed. The overall scores are pretty unreliable when you have no idea of the test machine's exact configuration.................
