"Limited or no connectivity"
Ok, well after scanning my friend's laptop with Ad-Ware, a problem came up. He can't connect to the internet. It says's limited or no connectivity. I've tried rebooting, but it does not work. So then went on my desktop to search and I ran across this He had the same exact problem did. So i follow the Winsock link and realize, how am I supposed to download this if the laptop can't connect to the internet?? Am I missing something?

Download it on another computer then copy and xfer?
Don't know man, I'm in your same boat. I get no conectivity with my new notebook, old one gets connectivity no problems at all.

Try disabling the IP6 on the port connections, if Vista. Make sure your firewall is not blocking the port, needed for access. Any time you start messing with the register your asking for trouble. I have yet to use one that has not broken some applications in the process.

lol. Thanks for the help, but could you explain what a IP6 is, also port connections? The laptop with the problem is using XP.

You should be able to undo the "fix" get the fix for the winsock then rescan and redo it. I know Spybot S&D and Ad-aware both have "undo".

Sorry, IP6 only apply to vista.
You may want to try running "ipconfig /flushdns"
