How come for PC requirments their is always a rediculous GPU speed? like for BF 2124 its 3.0 GHz but people on the forum say, as long as its a Core 2 Duo it will run fine... Is their a reason?

ok so your saying even thought they SAY you have to have 3.0 GHz a C2D 1.6 GHz processor would work fine?

well the architecture of a Core 2 Duo is levels above that of a regular single Pentium processor. It just works and handles tasks a lot differently.

A dual core processor (C2D) is basically two processors in one. Those requirements are for a single core processor.

thats for a old Pentium 4 CPU, the current generation processors are much more efficient per clock cycle. a single core 1.6 of current generation Intel processor is basically equal to a 3.0 Pentium 4 in performance.
