Inspiron 1520 and BF2

Question:
Inspiron 1520 and BF2
Ok, I know I posted on this a bit ago, but I changed drivers and I'm still having problems, and this is driving me insane now.
Can anyone recommend anything? Nothing on the system is overclocked, never has been and never will be.
I am running Windows XP SP2 with all the latest updates and drivers that are available. The following screen shots are with 3 different versions of nVidia drivers, each cleaned with DriverCleaner Pro between installations.
System specs are:
Intel C2D T7300 - 2.0 Ghz, 800 Mhz Bus, 4 MB Cache
160 GB 7200 rpm HD
15.4" WXGA Glossy
nVidia 8600GT 256 MB
2 GB RAM
Win XP SP2
Here are screenshots with 162.25 drivers:

I had a similar problem on my desktop with my old ATI 9800 pro. IMO, the problem is NOT with the video card, the problem is with the "game it self".
I don't know if I can say that here... I'll say it anyways...
If the game you are playing is a downloaded version, then download the game from another release.
that's pretty much it...

I know I can say this here..I'll say it cause I can... :)
Buy a real copy... if you haven't done so already. $20 bucks is not bad.
Also..
Those holes are where the sand worms live.

With your wisdom, please point me in the direction of where I can get a more "real" copy than this.

This is what you need to do.
1. Check out this forum for some knowledge-
2. Check out
laptopvideo2go.com and download the 163.14 drivers, (they may be for vista but im not sure; and idk if it matters) which as far as i know are currently the best ones out there.
Hope that helps :)
watch out for the sand worms.....

With your wisdom, please point me in the direction of where I can get a more "real" copy than this. I never said your copy was not a real one.... I meant more of IF your copy was bootleg then you should buy a copy. Those artifacts that you have been experiencing is known (and posted on alot of BF:2 forums) to be caused by a bad downloaded copy. No need to take offense if you bought it or didn't. Theres my wisdom. You should be more worried about those sand worms.

Lol, thats why I can never level up I guess, freaking worms kill me before I can get to the enemies flags.
Hmm, that leads me to think, if it's caused by bad downloaded copies, maybe one of my CDs isnt installing properly, and if BF2 has recently gone to $10 at BB, I should just snag a copy to see if this is true.

Maybe, worth a shot but I would try the driver solution first.

did you try installing the game on a different PC? Try to see if you get the same problem, then you'd know if you have a bad game disk.

Re: Inspiron 1520 and BF2
You could try this:
Go to My Documents/Battlefield 2/mods/BF2/cache and delete the folder(s) there that look like {AJ8798H8-... and so on. Then start BF2 and load a map, and you'll se a message about optimizing and stuff (i.e. new folders are being made in the cache directory). Other than that, I don't know. I use 163.11 with my 1520 and they seem to perform pretty good.
