I am looking at buying this laptop as a education/ gaming setup. It comes with a:
ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M IGP With 128MB DDR (Dedicated)
graphic card, and I am wondering if this setup could handle a game such as half life 2! thanks for any input!
Answer: It could probably handle them at lower resolution. The Xpress 200 is a derivative of the x300, which isn't a good graphics card. You would probably want the ATI x600/9700 or above, or the Nvidia 6600 or above.
Answer: I am not necessarily wanting to play these games, but more using them as a benchmark... so as long as I could play them lowest quality, I think that would work for me! I just figured if it could handle those, then it should be ok for the next couple years.
Answer: It could handle those at low quality just fine. If you want a laptop which will last technology-speaking for longer, you may want to look at a better gpu though.
