For those of you that want to try Linux, I recommend you use Ubuntu Linux http://www.ubuntulinux.org/. My 600M worked out of the box, Wireless, suspend to ram, suspend to disk, etc all worked. Only S-VIDEO doesn't but I'm working on that. In case you want to ditch XP

i would like to put linux on my 700m my first choice is SUSE then Redhat but im not sure if either will run very well on the 700m i have had them both on a desktop and worked fine but i heard it was harder to run linux on a laptop so if anyone has used either of these...i would also be willing to use debian
