Battlefield 2 on my 9300 geforce anyone having problems like me?
Anyone buy battlefield 2 and try to play the game?
I installed it but it locks up @ the beggining where it has the game title picture..doesnt even get into the game, it just sits on the title screen and sits there....
i was able to play the demo version just fine, but basically seems to be getting stuck when it tries to verify the cd?
anyone having this annoying issue? I havent even been able to play the full version one yet

if you have bought the game and it is legit, try a cd image from www.gamecopyworld.com
..be sure to get Daemon Tools v3.47 (you can probably google that)
make sure you have a legit copy!

I have problems with the demo as well , it says I need to update the driver but the file won't update my go6800 driver which I'm not happy to mess about anyways .
So I play 800X600 all low and its still jerky and crashes once in a while , this is 100% game code problem and requires either a good patch or a special driver .

Get the latest nvidia driver from nvidia.com, and grab the modified inf file for that driver version from laptopvideo2go.com, install, and game away :)
No notebook vendor has ever been anywhere close enough to releasing video drivers fast enough to keep up with game releases, so you need to use the oem driver with laptopvideo2go's inf file to enable the install.
You can also get the latest beta drivers and inf from that site as well, if you feel like trying out something other than the official driver.

Rebooting fixed all my issues after the install. I play at 1024x768 with 4x af and all settings to max smoothly.
1.6 p-m, 1.28gb ram.

Hey all, I've been lurking these forums because I can't seem to get Battlefield 2 to run.
I have a dell inspiron 9300
256 Geforce Go 6800
1256 MB of RAM
40 GB HD
I've tried the following drivers from LaptopVideo2go.com to no avail(with the hacked inf)
80.40
77.77
77.70
I've tried the demo and the full version. They both start loadingl, then the screen goes black for a bit then it switches back to the desktop.
I'm reading that some 9300 owners (with Geforce Go6800) are running BF2 on theirs. I would like them to answer the following points:
-Version of Windows.
-Version of Driver currently present.
-Method of install to get BF2 to work (and any hacks/workarounds)

The links you sent show how to install the drivers with the modded INF for the following versions 77.30, 77.50 and 77.62.
I curently have version 77.70 installed.
The problem is not the driver install, the problem is getting BF2 to work. Which it simply does not do.
I'm trying to find the version of the driver that works specifically for the Dell 9300 with the Geforce GO6800.

As a 9300 owner, I havn't had any problems running battlefield 2 - i've tried it with both the default dell drivers and the latest 80.40's with the hacked .inf
Version of Windows: Xp Pro Service Pack 2 - Fully Updated.
Driver: nVidia 80.40 from laptopvideo2go
Method: Legit, then patched w/ 1.02

I've just tried the 77.30 77.36 and 80.40 drivers.
The drivers install correctly its just that BF2 will not start. It starts out with the BF2 logo, then flashes a black screen then returns to the desktop.
anyone have any suggestions?
