Question:
blocking while on net...
hi folks, I have a little problem..when I m using our wifi net for internet, it denies me an access to my email and some other webs,,,it s beeing done by admins i know but,...doesn t anybody know how to... "walk around it"...?
any help would be appreciated .. :p

Errrr, you'll need a proxy I think....

And I'm pretty sure those sites are 'blocked' for a GOOD reason...

oh man,....aaahhhh....proxy would be good for outgoing transfer etc....this seems that they has own pop3 or smtp which "filters" this....anymway, unathorized clients are not even allowed to read any mail....(I spoke about e mail mainly)....the other thing blocked are some sites with javas, scripts and finally so needed warez sites.....
understood...? ;)

mmm...ok, so it s a public network with restrictions about reading emails mainly (when you re not registered...some other account) ......not even at my workplace.....I have never seen restriction such as this one ....so just asking, yes, how to circumvent it....

Those security measures have been put in place for a reason. They do not want people introducing viruses to their network. I do not think this is the correct place to discuss how to hack or how to bypass the networks security so you can read email.

Right, trying to get around their policy puts you in voilation of it, I'm sure there are penalties for that. You should be able to access your email via a web interface though, if it's a POP account there are tons of free services for this, if your provider doesn't offer one.
