Wow. I think the longest I've played nearly non-stop is closer to about 12 hours. 50 hours is seriously asking for trouble.

I should let my friend hear of this ... I know he lives on WOW. Personally I couldn't stand the game, lasted 30 min for one time only!
Longest none stop on PC ... around 12 hours (school work), but with an occasional walk around the room to get the blod circulating again :)

Re: Man Dies after 50 hours of computer game playing
I can't play games or use the computer that long without taking long breaks to walk around outside (depending on the weather; I hate humidity) or grab a bite to eat. I also have to change positions quite frequently. The longest that I've played games would probably be about 14 hours of PSO. That game is awesome. I got over it, though, and cancelled my Hunter's License. It didn't have any effect on my school/work/personal life. I'd never drop out of school or quit working just to play games. Of course, it depends what he is playing. If EverQuest is crack then PSO is weed or Tylenol.

Closest I have come to that was 36-40 hrs while doing my undergrad in chemical engineering- on multiple occaisions for finishing projects and ugly assignments (along w/ all the work due for the gen. ed. classes). We had this awful building w/ no windows, so you could never really tell what time it was unless you were always checking the clock. I had to call my wife to bring me food. I was usually delirious by the end of such a stint. Now I can't stay up all night w/out wrecking myself for a couple days thereafter and risking illness. Speaking of which, I need to get to bed.
