Re: convert mp3 file to audio for a car stereo
If it's anything like my car's cd player (which is a stock honda player from '94 or so) then it is just really picky about CDs. It's rare that I get a burned CD to play in my car. Sometimes it likes certain CD brands better than others. Sometimes it won't play anything at all. I think temperature (extreme hot or cold) could be an issue at times as well...
I don't know if the burning software has as much to do with the problem as just your CD player and the media that it is recorded on.

Nero burning rom is one of the best burning programs out there, and one of the easiest. It will convert from mp3 to wav (which is needed for "basic" players) on the fly when burning, so that you don't have to convert it on your own.

I would also suggest Nero. I've had the same problem, but since I've started using Nero for burning, my cds play fine now :). It is a little expensive, but check out buy.com for some good deals or you might be able to get an OEM version for around 20 bucks

Well dang... I may have to try that...
Of course it's a moot point now since I just use my iPod ;-)
