x800xt = 16 pipes, 256 bit mem (480/550)
6800U = 12 pipes, 256 bit mem (450/550)
x800pro = 12 pipes, 256 bit mem (400/400)
6800 = 12 pipes, 256 bit mem (300/300)
x700 = 8 pipes, 128 bit mem (350/300)
6600 = 8 pipes, 128 bit mem (300/300)
x600 = 4 pipes, 128 bit mem (400/250)
9700 = 4 pipes, 128 bit mem (450/213)
9600 = 4 pipes, 128 bit mem (333/? (240 turbo))
x300 = 4 pipes, 128 bit/64 bit mem (300/230)
6200 = 4 pipes, 128 bit/64 bit mem (?/?)
I realise there is more information and different variations on clocks and models, but these are the basics. I have also tried to list them in order of performance. Those relying on turbocache/hypermemory will be at the bottom. If you want to make any changes ofc post but the basic order is right.

6200 is generally faster than x300. There are many benchmarks to prove that.

While a desktop 6200 does do better generally, it all depends on the clocks which I don't know and could not easily look up, perhaps the 6200 is higher, either way it should be obvious neither are gaming chips.

It's been my understanding that the X300 is generally faster than the 6200.
As for the clocks, that's nice and all, but it's impractical. Clock speeds on the same chips will vary between vendors.

I don't know if you can say that neither are gaming chips. Perhap it would be more accurate to say that neither are the best gaming chips. It is important not to overlook the important roles that these entry level cards play. If portability is high on the wish list, then the x300 and the 6200go are the only two solutions offered to those that want portability and are willing to suffer some fps. My 6200 will play every game presently on the market albiet at reduced resolutions. Does it play it as well as my desktop 800XT? Never, but it still presents me with a choice.
As for default core and memory speeds these tend to be dependent on the notebook manufacturer. Two identical cards are often clocked differently tailored to the manufacturers needs.

Although some of us care about minor speed differences, the bulk of people only care about the big picture, and it's clear that the 6200 and X300 lie within the same category (budget/small form factor) no matter how hard you look at things. When it comes down to choosing 2 equivalent cards from ATI and NVIDIA, you can't go wrong with either. At that point you should really focus on the rest of the components rather than obessing over what may equate to a few FPS difference.
As I've posted multiple times, this is the equivalence chart for the current generation of cards.
X300 <-> 6200
X600 <-> 6400
X700 <-> 6600
X800 <-> 6800
X800 XT <-> 6800 Ultra

Are you sure the 6400 is comparable to an X600? The 6400 is just an overclocked 6200, it still runs on TurboCache.

Do you honestly believe that the bulk of people only care about the big picture? If so, then why is the internet full of benchmarks and comparisons between similar products? Google x300 vs 6200 or AMD vs Intel and what do you get? I don't understand how it is we are obsessing? Did you not look up benchmarks and research information when you were purchasing your notebook? My understanding is that this is a hardware forum and hardware is exactly what we are discussing. Sorry to say but, similar is performance is not the same as identical performance.
