Don't know what to choose

Question:
Don't know what to choose
Hi I am from Greece and I would like some help.
I have to choose between three laptops
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M1451G
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M3438Gl1
HP Pavilio zd8214ea
I am a student in a university so I would like to play games like Flight Simulator 2004,Sims and Battlefield 2.I have ordered the Hp
zd8214 but it's not so good,is it.The other problem is that i don't get along very well with Pentium M processors.Except for games I would like to write text in latex format that that take a long time for compiling. Also I do some work in photoshop CS2 and I author dvd movies as well as compresing dvds.
I would like some advice for these computers.Which do you think best suit me?

Re: Don't know what to choose
The M3438G has the best graphics card. Fujitsus generally are well built and have very good screens, but I am not as famillar with the 3438 as it is not sold here. The Pentium M is the best notebook CPU. It gives the best performance to battery life ratio. If you are doing video encoding a faster hard drive is a good idea. Good Luck.

Re: Don't know what to choose
I agree with zazonz, the M3438G would be a great fit for you. I wouldn't get a P4 in a notebook, too much heat and too little battery life.
Try to get a larger battery if you can, and also, a 5400RPM hard drive because that will improve your performance and yet still not have a noticable impact on battery life. ;)

Re: Don't know what to choose
As I travel little I don't have battery effect in mind.Heat is a problem though.Noise is another factor.I focus basically in performance. Can a Pentium M handle it as good as a Pentium 4?The model is packed with Pentium M at 1.73.Can this be as good as the Pentium 4 at 3?Both computers have 512 Mb of Ram.
I am wondering i.e how much time does it take for Pentium M to shrink a movie with Dvd Shrink. Also is it fit for <> gaming?

Re: Don't know what to choose
Pentiuim Ms arethe best notebook CPUs. They more memory and shorter pipelines amongst other things which greatly increase the performance relative to the clock speed. They also run much cooler, which lessens the needs for fans and such.
