I would try to hold off because for my needs this is not the right time to buy.
If I had to buy, then I would look at all machines based on AMD Athlon 64 (exception made for the Alienware that I would not buy again)

Is this an ask for help or the "Dream Machine" thread?(Cuz that would be a a fun little, maybe depressing thread) But following Cori and Dissatisfied-mun's lead. It will be a long time before I am able to get another of these. If I won $2000 I'd get an Asus W5Ae.^^(Or maybe wait for the Core Duo equivalent). I'm not much of a gamer. So long as I could run cute games like The Sims2 on integrated graphics I'd be straight. Really, I don't know if I'm cut out of 12 inch screens. But I've wanted one of those little white lappys for a long time! o.O;

Does your NP5720 hiss also? Does it also screach when hardware sound is enabled in game and with or without EAX enabled?

I don't have the NP5720. If I was buying one, it would be that. I would post in the sager section if you are having problems with your NP5720
