Re: What you guys think of this notebook
try the v4000t its the same price but you get an x700 instead of an x600, here its accually discounted $300 but all the specs are still the same
Answer:
Re: What you guys think of this notebook
There's no "t" in the DV4000. If you want the Compaq version of the DV4000, it's the V4000t. Compaq is usually cheaper than the HP equivalent.
Answer:
Re: What you guys think of this notebook
Thanks for the advice,
dv4000 has a lager screen, and also cheaper
but dv4000 is about 1KG heavier than B2805
I am not quite sure about the graphic card
the B2805 is X600 (128MB discrete + 128MB shared)
the dv4000 is X700 128MB
I know that the X700 is basicly better than X600, but with nearly doubled video memory, will it at least catches up a bit on the X700's performace.
Answer:
Re: What you guys think of this notebook
From my understanding: no
The X700 is plainly put - faster, no matter how much memory
Especially since the X600 is an SE, which is actually worse than a 'regular' X600.
Answer:
Re: What you guys think of this notebook
thank you for the explanation, since SE is worse than older version X600 I guess i should not buy compaq B2805 at all, but since this Hp dv4000 is too heavy for me,
is there any other model you guys think worth buying?
what about the Acer Aspire 5670?
Answer:
Re: What you guys think of this notebook
Very nice, that is a model not sold in the US. Checking on the US prices about 350 extra for dual core in the V2000 series. The basic PM dual starts at 1049. I would opt for dual.
