Question:
**What's on the horizon?**
I wasn't quite sure where to post this question so I thought I'd just as well put it here.
I've done some fairly thorough research over the last months trying to decide on a notebook to buy, and I think that I'm fairly well versed in all my options. But, I figure that with the inception of a new fiscal year there are bound to be more than a few replacements for those models with which I'm familiar on the horizon. Sure enough, more and more posts that I can see are making mention of such machines...I'm just having a hard time keeping track of them all. (This is particularly important to me since I'm looking to buy a MS-1039 once it's available and I'm not sure what will be on the market to compete with it). So, my objective/query is to try and get the people who know to compile a list of notebooks that are to be released in the next few months, what they're replacing, and the market (gaming, desktop replacement, etc...) the machine is supposed to fill (specs too, I suppose, if you have them...). I’m not looking for information specific to my needs either, I just think such a list would be an extremely useful reference.
(For computer-notebook’s sake I think that the potential of your ‘notebook database’ as a reference is tremendous, but it’s definitely out-of-step with current product lines. Maybe if you just tried to include a stock picture and factory specs of each machine people could use it as a quick tool to see what their options are. A lot of work I know, but it’s just a suggestion….)

Well, with Merom more then a half a year away, things will change, quickly.
Most 'releases' are top secret, unless they have had a press conference, or convention etc. CeBit is to be here soon, and there will probrably be lots of goodies there.
