I know the ASUS W2J would be a good option, but I'd like to know which other notebooks you would suggest to me.

The W2j defaintly. When i first saw Asus, and then your Budget, this notebook will be perfect for you.

yep, i third that.... if i had your budget to spend, it would have been ASUS.

If you are mobile with this, 17" notebooks are tough to carry. Plus their physical size can make them hard to use in some places like an airplane seat. The Asus is about the lightest 17" notebook around. If you go 17" that would be my choice.
