Question:
7800GTX and high resolution?
I've spent ages trawling the web looking for a laptop with the Geforce Go 7800GTX and a reasonable resolution (1400x1050 or better). I want a laptop that has a laptop chip in it (Pentium-M/Core Duo/Solo) not a desktop chip (Athlon/Pentium) because I'd like good battery life.
A screen size of 15-17" would be good (kind of required I guess at this resolution).
Is anyone aware of such a beast?

Hmm I just clicked to the Sager website.. why did I always think the Sager notebooks were extremely heavy? [in the 10-12lb range] I see that the NP 5720 is 7.5lbs with battery?

Some of Seger's notebooks are very heavy... like the ones with desktop cpu's. And 7.5lbs for a 17" laptop is very reasonable.

You've gotta sacrifice weight and size for power, because of all the ventulation, fans and heatsinks needed to cool the baby :)
So far, no 15.4" has it, I believe the 6800 Go is the most powerful GPU in any 15.4", and still weighs 7.5~ lbs.

Re: 7800GTX and high resolution?
you will sacrifice portability for a 7800gtx. so figure at least 7-8 lbs, some or much heavier. and expect a 17 inch screen..i dont think there are any 15.4" screens with a 7800gtx.
pb,out.
