Question:
Do you use NHC?
If so, what settings do you put it at and what processor do you have?
Answer:
Re: Do you use NHC?
I set it for max battery.

Re: Do you use NHC?
I have it for a looong time. I keep it at dynamic, or max battery when I need it. And for fast overclock/underclock of the ATi gpu/mem (400/400 and 100/100). Processor is PM 1,86/1,96 GHz. I heard that setting voltages can help a lot to battery time, but haven't tried yet.

I have a Turion, so RightMark is the only choice for me. Excellent program, highly recommended!

Re: Do you use NHC?
I use NHC and find it is very useful. There are other programs that do what it does, but I like it because of the voltage settings you can change.
It is not necessary though. I recently setup a Z63A for my sister's friend and laptops are by default always in dynamic switching mode. I didn't know this. Kind of makes life simpler so you don't have to always play around with profiles and settings, you can just USE your laptop without such hassles.
I'm only using NHC for the voltage mods.

Mike

What voltages have you set it at?
Answer:
Re: Do you use NHC?
According to NHC you should try lower around 0,2V and check. My lowest multiplier is 6 and is set to 0,780V (0,988V default).
14x is set to 1,1V. Those keep my notebook a bit cooler. I have PM750.
1,0 and 0,7 V reset my comp.
I am still researching this matter. Never played with it before.

What is NHC

I don't use NHC - messes up my fans.
Notebook Hardware Control = NHC.

Re: Do you use NHC?
I use Centrino Hardware Control (the old version of NHC) to undervolt my processor and video card.
Right now I'm being conservative, so the multipliers on my Pentium M 2.0Ghz. chip are set ~0.2-0.25 volts below stock values. Same thing on the x300 graphics chip. Core is set at 200Mhz. and RAM is at 160 Mhz.. Many others have gone much lower on both.
I'll try going lower when I have a day or two to kill running Prime95 to test for bugs.
