Question:
Dell E1405 or Compaq v2000 ?
Both will be about the same price for my config, about $1200, incld. Duo Core 1.66, 1 GHz, 80GB 5400 rpm, etc. Both have similar features too.
Which one do you think I should buy ?
- In your opinion, is Dell more established brandname than Compaq in notebook arena?
- Which one has better support ?
- Which one is more consistent in product quailty (durability, reliability) ?
I'm torn between the 2, and I can not decide.

They are equally good. I have dealt with customer service from both and I consider them equal. You should post the specific configurations and fill out the FAQ on what you need.
