400 mhz ddr2 ram on pentium m 740
Hi! I am interested in getting a refurbished laptop from dell outlet uk. The unit i am interested on is a dell inspiron 6000 pentium m 740 1.73 Ghz 2MB L2. However, the memory installed is a 1024 MB DDR2 400 Mhz SDRAM memory. Isn't it that the PM740 has a 533 MHZ FSB and if so, will the performance be affected by the 400 MHZ memory installed? Also, are refurbished units from dell reliable?
I wanted to get one with an WSXGA+ screen 'cos my friends unit has a WXGA lcd and I am not at all impressed by the quality of picture and color. Will the WXSGA+ LCD be brighter and colors more vivid? I intend to use my laptop mostly for surfing, watching dvd and to store and view pictures taken on my digital camera.

If its an inspiron 6000 it should have DDR 2 533 RAM installed... all of the Inspiron 6000's I've seen run off DDR II. Also the WXSGA+ will be better for gaming, and other multimedia editing programs. But the colors won't be brighter or more vivid... Perhaps they wern't very vivid because of a contrast, or brightness or some other video setting.
