Change of Plans - FAQ Filled Out

Question:
Change of Plans - FAQ Filled Out
After my last trip I realized that a 17” laptop is not for me.
I lugged that sucker through the airport down plane aisles and realized the screen real-estate is just not as important as the mobility and battery life. The battery life on that hot P4 17”er was only about 1.5 hours max. And the weight – ouch. I’m a small woman so this does not work for me at all.
I am now looking for total mobility instead of screen size as the most important factor.

Re: Change of Plans - FAQ Filled Out
The W3J is a little overpowered for his needs.. It is definitely a good notebook though.
Why don't you take a look at the Lenovo Z61t.

Re: Change of Plans - FAQ Filled Out
Glossy screens tend to give me a headache after a while. You might want to check some out before you buy. The ThinkPad T60 and Dell D620 are worth a look. It is probably gonna be awhile before you can get a Z61t.

It's listed on hp.com small business. It should do the trick:

I noticed cnet's review only included 1/2 GB of RAM instead of the 1 GB priced model I last linked you too which would affect performance (biggest gain in performance would be from 1/2GB to 1 GB) which is unfair when comparing to the 1GB models in that review.

Here's another review with pics (although again only with the 1/2 GB instead of the 1GB RAM I'd suggest & linked you too. You should decide if you need integrated EV-DO from the outset; you can always add it & take it out later if needed via PC card though likely with some protrusion from PC card slot when in):

also, you have to understand, that cnet reviews are incredibly biased. they do not give an accurate portrayal of a system. you should check user reviews, if you can. i posted this in your other post, but you should check out the asus w62f. the fujitsu s7110 is also a nice machine. the thinkpad t60 or the new thinkpad z61 series are also good, very durable options.
