Well..
The barebone - $300
Adding a CPU - $220
Adding stick of RAM(1gb) - $80
Adding a Optical Drive(DVD+-RW) - $80
Adding a HD(80gb 5400) - $120
$700 in total.
Or you can opt for a HP DV1000, V2000, etc.

You can find the 400MHz FSB Pentium M's for dirt cheap on eBay . . I've seen the 1.6GHz models go for about $80-100.

Anyone know of any reviews ? Is it any good ?
Here is my dilemma. I have an Averatec 5110H that I recently upgraded the hd, wifi, and optical drive then broke the lcd. Now the lcd will cost me about 400 to replace and there maybe a video issue on the mobo as well (no backlight) . If this is any good then maybe I can just swap parts over and save some money.
Sorry for the length, just pondering outloud and looking for feedback
Thanks in advance,
Shawn
