Question:
Has anyone ever returned a notebook to Hp or Hp Compaq?
My hp v4000t keeps overheating and even though i have a cooling pad and i have used notebook harware control to undevolt my pc (everythign worked perfect for a while) and now its starting to overheat again.
I called hp support today and they told me to press f10 to boot up this bios menu and for me to run a hdd test.
Well they told me my hdd failed the test and it was busted so now i have to get a new and loose all my stuff....I really just want to return this laptop or exchange it for hp store credit or something doe sanyoen have any experience wiht this sort of thing? will they likely refund my money or exchange or give me store credit or just try to fix it?

no before i undervolted everything was not fine,my laptop would overheat in 30min even wiht a cooler
