How do you like your WSXGA+ screen? What is the native resolution?
I went to the local mall here, best buy, comp usa, circuit city and somewhere else to see if I could find a 15.4' WSXGA+ screen but I couldn't. They were all WXGA. I was considering the ASUS Z96J as you probably know, but I wanted to know if you are happy with your higher resolution screen? Do your games look blocky when you try to play them? I saw the E1705 with the 1920 x xxxx display and I liked it. I just don't know if I would like it for gaming if it lowers the quality and makes things look "blocky." Thanks if you respond. Some pics might be nice too :D

Thanks for the pics. I just need to know how games look and if the x1600 will be able to handle games close to the native resolution. So WXGA is not an option for me. Either WSXGA+ or WUXGA. I guess I just need to see how games look at the lower resolutions like maybe 1024x768 etc. I just wouldnt want lower quality or a for things to look blocky. Thanks for the links dudes

Re: Chaz
Hey look, a thread with my name as the title. ;) Interesting.
The native resolution of WSXGA+ is 1680x1050.
Before my previous couple of PCs, I used a Dell Inspiron 5000 with a 15" SXGA+ display; I then moved to an HP Pavilion zv5000z with a WXGA resolution. I didn't find any disadvantages to that transition, WXGA was fine for me. Since I upgraded to my Sager with a 15.4" WSXGA+ display, I have really come to appreciate the extra screen real estate afforded by the higher resolution. It comes in handy if you have multiple windows open or a long text document. You don't have to scroll as often.
Another plus with a high resolution display is picture viewing; I have a fairly high-resolution camera, and you can see a lot more of the picture with the higher resolution. Great for editing.
Games look great on it, even if I do have to put a different resolution.
If you liked WUXGA on a 17", then WSXGA+ on a 15.4" should be very similar.
I'll see if I can get pictures.

Sweet, thanks. I use photoshop as well and I like to game so I'm assuming that would be great for me. If you can't get pics it's fine, I saw the links posted in this thread. Now I'm back to battle between the Z96J and the E1705 lol...oh man.
