Question:
Can't decide...
Alright, I might be ordering a Dell e1705 in a few weeks, and I can't decide on the configuration (the addition of the nvidia7900 has brought this about). Pretty much I would like to know if the 7900 is that much better than the 7800, its about 110 bucks more and if I only get a small boost from it I'll scrap that and just order more ram. I've been looking at benchmarks but they don't really tell me all I need to know (or maybe I'm just not seeing the right things). Your thoughts? Much appreciated. If you really NEED me to post the rest of my planned configuration I will, but right now I can't take them time. Thanks again.

no one has anything to say?

Get the best spec you can afford because it will pay off in the long run. Period.

Re: Can't decide...
well, if you are going to keep this notebook for awhile, you have to consider that the gpu cannot be changed, while the other components can be upgraded. so i think it would be better to keep the better gpu and sacrifice on other specs b/c you can upgrade them later if you want to.

Yeah...thats true. One other thing, is the Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy® ADVANCED HD Audio worth it (its only like 20 bucks more)?

Re: Can't decide...
well, i just realized that you do have the dell 1705, where gpu upgrades are possible...but quite expensive. i still recommend what i said above though. as for the sound card, here is a review of another audigy model (i don't think it's the same one) that may help you with your decision:

Awesome, that helped me out (i don't have/plan on buying expensive speakers therefore i shall not bother with it). Thanks.

Re: Can't decide...
I would get the Truelife screen, as well as bluetooth. I have heard many good things about the Truelife WUXGA. I also think that in the near future, many bluetooth devices will be coming out. Maybe downgrade the HD to make up some price difference. Also, unless you plan on being unplugged a lot, there is no need for a 9 cell. Everything else looks good, I would recommend upgrading the warranty though. 2 years at least with accidental.

i would get the truelife screen
i would not pay to upgrade the battery considering 9 cells cost $50 on ebay.
i would get the pro wireless card
i would not upgrade the hd from dell. i would get the 1.66 cpu.
