Sony makes a nice 13.3 inch notebook, but they go for around $1800. If your budget changes, I'd look at that. I haven't been lokking at the ultraportables, so I can't really help, sorry. Don't worry, someone will help you soon.

the asus z62f is worth a look. it is not very nice looking though. you can get the asus w3v, which is nice looking, but it doesn't have a core duo...
