15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display
512MB Shared Single Channel DDR2 SDRAM 533MHZ, 1 DIMM
128MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1300 HyperMemory™

So is this laptop good? And is it known for the durability?
Is the 3Yr Ltd Warr,At-Home Service, and HW Warr Support plus Nights and Weekends Worth the $240?
Answer:
Re: Budget Laptop
no
it would not be logical to spend 240 for a warranty on a 700 laptop.
Answer:
Re: Budget Laptop
Its a good config but skipping the warranty would make sense as thats 240 towards another system in the future unless your buying a high end machine and are worried about dropping it or spilling on it quite a bit I would pass the warranty.
Thus you can buy a better machine or save some money

Re: Budget Laptop
Ok, thanks for those answers.
Another problem I'm having with is the reliability of Online ordering.
From what I've found out, Dell manufactures the notebooks from their company in Malaysia and then ships it to Nashville where they will output the notebook to the respective destinations.
Because of this, It really discourages me from purchasing a notebook due to the reasons where I live in a foreign nation, Belize (a third world nation where computers cost twice the amount and have worst specs)
I'm only going to USA on vacations this summer for about a month and I planned on getting a laptop. I know that shipping usually takes at least 5 days but I'm in fear that if there's a defect present on the product, that I wont be there long enough to recieve the laptop before I leave.
So, is there an alternative way to purchase the laptop like from a retailer preferably?
Or is the dell ordering reliable enough?
Cause the reviews on their customer service is really discouraging.

Re: Budget Laptop
Would u say the Dell Inspiron E1505 without the ATI Radeon Graphics card at the price of $999 or rather should I get a Macbook at the price of $1099?
I've thought it over carefully and I realized that gaming isnt really everything to me. The macbook would work more benefits to me.
So would you recommend the Macbook in terms of reliability?
Is it very durable and built to last for 3-4 years?
Also is there a discount on them?
