Hopefully you can help me with my choice. I am currently looking at buying something like the Acer Aspire 5672WLMi, but wanted to get your opinions first.
General Questions
1) What is your budget? $1000 - $1500
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
a. Ultraportable; 12" screen or less
b. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
Photoshop, some video editing, some gaming (not newest games)
4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
taking it with me
5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
yes, mostly older games (starcraft, wolfenstein ET, UT2004) , maybe a couple new games
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
Not Mac (does Bootcamp slow down Windows?)
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
4 would be nice, but 3 is ok
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
I would not mind
9) What country are you buying this in?

10) Would you prefer standard or widescreen?
Widescreen, standard is fine though
11) From the choices below, what screen resolutions would you prefer?

b. SXGA - 1400x1050 - Compromise resolution between XGA and UXGA.
c. UXGA - 1600x1200 - Very small text and graphics icons, you can fit lots of stuff on the screen.

12) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen?
glossy but non-glossy would be ok
Build Quality and Design
13) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
some
14) How long do you want this laptop to last?
hopefully 5-6 years, VISTA capable (designated graphics card, at least 1gb ram)
Notebook Components
15) How much hard drive space do you want; 40GB to 120GB?
at least 60, 80 or 100 would be better (as long as its at least a 5400rpm)
16) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD-ROM, DVD-CD/RW or DVD-RW drive?
Combo drive (DVD - CD/RW) or DVD burner
Like I said, I was looking at the Acer Aspire 5672WLMi because it has the dual core processor, and I'm a pretty heavy multi-tasker and the x1400 which I figure is good enough for games. Its also pretty cheap for its specs. Whats the battery life like on it?

you can actually get the acer 5672 with the x1600 now. however, i would recommend the asus s96j or the upcoming compal hgl80

I'm with ejl on this one, I would... well I am going with the S96J. I don't know if you would be okay with the screen size, but since you multitask I would think you would like it better than what you have listed. I don't know though.
