Question:
256 MB Radeon X1400 or 512 MB Quadro?
The laptop will be used with graphics intensive applications for graphics design / multimedia design as a graduate student. Photoshop, 3D Studio Max, etc. will all be used intensively. What's the better graphics card? I was hoping to find a GeForce 7800 on a 15 in screen but I haven't been able to.
Can you guys recommend a 15" laptop with a better graphics card? Or would those two be acceptable? Or so which one would be better?
I've currently got the Dell E1505 configured with the E1505 and the D820 with the Quadro.

I personally think the Radeon x1400 is a kickbutt card. I dont think you'll notice too much difference from the 7800.. The apps you listed x1400 will handle no problem.
