How about the HP DV2000 or the MacBook?
Answer:
Re: [Insert generic "I need help" title here]
both of the above are great choices. The dv2000 comes with a light (and may i repeat, light) graphics "solution" but also boasts its dvd playback and it is dual core so its great for multitasking. It also fits right in your price range. the macbook is a great lappy but a) theres the obvious compatibility issues with windows products and b) running visita is still an unknown (and possibly just people trying to get their hopes up)...
I would STRONGLY recommend the DV2000 or v3000, both of which have nice style to them and seem made specifically for your needs. Dells would also fit in your price range, but they tend to.. umm.. lack on style? no offense to the dell users out there!
If you are a student you can get a discount through HP also!
