That is NOT a gaming laptop. I believe the Z96J fits your budget. Also you may want to look at the 1405 or 1505 from dell. I would personally upgrade the harddrive myself.

The core duo has the speed edge currently. HP is offer the 64Turionx2s currently. I would say that 2 gigs of ram would fit you perfectly. Newegg.

Also, i'm trying to find a 64 bit mobile processor with atleast a gig of ram... Not really into the core duo I don't really know why you are not into the core duo.It performs better, dude. And there is a major chance of you being able to swap it out for the merom which is intel's 64-bit core duo.

I am 90% sure that hp will offer a bios upgrade so you can swap out the cpu for the 64 merom core 2 duo when you need it. I support AMD all the way, but they just aren't good enough right now.

Re: Well, Maybe that notebook isnt what i want
You need the 64bit processing immediately? If so, then order the hp. If you are willing to upgrade in 6 months or so, after the first price drop on the core 2 duo, then i would say get the core duo. THe compal hel80 is offered by powernotebooks and would also be a very solid choice
