Question:
Gaming Laptop for $1600
I am thinking about selling my MX7515. I'm just not happy with the build quality, and I want something that will not only play modern games, but future games as well. I Definately prefer AMD over Intel, but I guess I can go Either way. A Firewire port is also important.

Re: Gaming Laptop for $1600
For good gaming in a mainstream notebook, I recommend looking at the HP dv4000 series or the Compaq V4000T. In a 17" the MSI MS-1036 is worth a look. The MSI comes with a 256MB X700 but will probably be at the top of your budget. You could always just buy the RAM and hard drive off of NewEgg.com

you can get the Dell i9300 for about $1200 ~ with coupons. It has a 256mb 6800 GeforceGo, and a nice 17" screen. I have been playing BF2 on it ever since I got it.

Re: Gaming Laptop for $1600
You can't order the 9300 from Dell with the 256 6800 right now, they have been out for over a week now it may be 2 weeks or longer before you can, if they even bring them back. You can get the E1705 with the 256 7800 though for about $1500 with the coupon.

It may be a little bit over your budget but there's also the IBM Z60t with a 128MB X600 for $1699 on their website.

Re: Gaming Laptop for $1600
I wouldn't recommend an X600 if you plan to game. That card is slow for new games.
As posted - the HP dv4000 is a great suggestion, also consider the MSI-1029

Sorry, my bad. I didn't notice the m, I was browsing for an IBM for my boss as he asked me and I wasn't sure about the final letter. I just remember that one caught my eye as I know IBM doesn't put dedicated video cards as often.
